Presentation Skills

The number one fear for most people is public speaking. Most would love to be as comfortable in front of a room as our actors are on stage but we know that’s merely just not it. With over 20 years of working in the business world, we’ve seen first-hand that every presenter can become more effective and confident with practice and some good coaching.

We use a fun approach that combines group work and individualized coaching to build confidence. All of our presentation skills coaching workshops were created to help you become a better presenter.

Presentation Skills: Part One

This program is designed to give participants practice in improvisational and theatrical skills such as use of voice, gestures, pacing, eye contact, etc. that can enhance the delivery of presentations as well as build confidence as a presenter, reading the audience and adjusting message and delivery appropriately and using emotion and passion to persuade and connect with your listeners. There are several “practice presentations” embedded in the design and each individual gets immediate feedback from the facilitators on their piece.

Presentation Skills: Part Two

As a follow-up to the first session, a customized 3-4 hour workshop can be designed to give your participants more opportunities to practice skills and incorporate their feedback by using real-world material. We combine that material with exercises designed to practice team presenting, handling hostile audience, presenting via phone and/or using visual aids.

Individual Coaching Session

For a more personalized approach, we offer one-on-one coaching for individuals. Coaching sessions help individuals utilize their strengths effectively, build creative ways to engage the audience during their presentation and provide opportunities to rehearse and gain confidence before “going live”.

Team Presentation Prep Session

Similar to the individual coaching session, we can help a group organize a presentation’s outline and content in a way that keeps the audience engaged at key points, brainstorm creative ways to present the material, plan smooth transitions between presenters and utilize individual strengths in a way that helps the team show best.
